New Hit Counter Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I create a counter?

Click here, select a style, answer the short questions, and hit submit. We’ll generate the code for you right then and there!

Why are your counters free?

Our counters are free because the cost of them is covered by the advertisement that’s included with each counter; our sponsors pay so you don’t have to!

What if I want to move the ad or change the way it looks?

You can do both of those things – just make sure that you do NOT remove the ad, change or alter the wording of the ad, or change the destination of the link.

Common changes that you CAN make include moving it around the page where your counter is (It must be on the same page as the counter) and changing the color of the link.

Can I remove the ad? What happens if I remove the ad?

No, the ad must stay on the same page as the counter for as long as you keep your counter. If you remove or alter it your account will be disabled without any notification from us.

I want to start my counter at a number other than 1. How?

When you sign up for a counter, we ask you for the starting number to be displayed --once that number has been set it CAN NOT be changed!

I want to change or reset the count on my existing counter. How?

You Can’t. Sorry!

Please note that we will not respond to requests asking for the number to be changed.

Do you offer stats on who is coming to my page?

No and we don’t plan on it. Our counters are simple and straight forward – What you see is what you get.

Do you have invisible counters?

No. How would you see how many people visited your page?

Help: My counter's not working!

Since our counters are free, we do not offer support on them for the majority of problems.

(Just FYI: The single most common problem that exists with our counters is when the code is placed as text on the page, rather than in the source code – be sure it’s where it belongs and you should be all good!)
